Program FAQ

As part of our commitment to the healing of our community locally and globally, we have compiled this FAQ section to address concerns, provide information, and answer common questions related to the Young Women Rising Program, general beauty, health, wellness and empowerment.  If you have a question you would like answered on this page please contact us to submit your question.

01

Is the Young Women Rising Program a Non-Profit Program?

At this time, the Young Women Rising Summer Day Camp Program is a Not-for-Profit Program. This means that the Program does not earn profits for its owners. All of the money earned by or donated to a not for profit organization is used in pursuing the organization's objectives.

02

Are donations to Young Women Rising Tax Deductible?

Until the filing and approval of our 501(c)3 tax status authorizing us as a specific non-profit, donations made to the Program are not tax deductible at this time. While they do not deduct from your taxes, they certainly add to ability to for the Program to operate and deliver critical skills and support to the children who receive services through the Program.

04

How much of my donation goes into the Program?

Absolutely 100% of your donation goes directly into the Program in the form of scholarships, supplies and direct service delivery needs. All of our instructors and artists are from our local community and many have either donated their time and services as gift-in-kind or at reduced rates to ensure that as much support as possible goes directly to the children being served through the Program. As a not-for-profit, NO profit is taken by the owner or administration.

05

Are Program Instructors Certified?

Yes. Your child's safety while in our Program is of the utmost priority. We not only run thorough checks on the licensure and certifications of Instructors and service providers, but extensive background checks to ensure that your child is your own content and make changes to the font. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.

06

07

How large are the Program Groups?

We exceed all ratio standards by limiting our Camp Program to 15 girls with a minimum of 2 staff providing instruction and supervision at all times.

Can I Volunteer to help in the Program?

If you have a particular skill or knowledge base that you would like to offer for incorporation into our Program, or if you would like to serve in the capacity of support and supervision, please contact us. While we encourage parent participation, we also want to ensure that your child does not feel pressured by parental presence.

"I can't afford the Program Rate, Are There Scholarships Available?"

While we cannot guarantee the availability of Scholarships to all who may be interested or in need, based on the amount of funding available we do offer scholarships to those who qualify. For consideration for Scholarship, please complete and provide the information requested on the Registration Form. If you would like to sponsor a child or donate please contact us or click here.
